What Numra Is
Numra is a private Turkish coffee reading practice. We offer personalised, human-read cup readings delivered digitally — to wherever you are in the world.
Every reading is performed individually, by hand, by a single experienced reader. There are no templates, no automated outputs, and no mass-produced interpretations. When you receive a reading from Numra, it was made for you alone.
The Reader
All Numra readings are guided by a Turkish coffee reader based in Istanbul, rooted in the coffee-reading traditions of the Aegean region of Turkey.
She learned to read coffee cups the way most people in this tradition do — through family, through observation, through years of quiet practice at kitchen tables where the real conversations happen. What began as a family ritual became a calling.
She has been reading cups for over 20 years. In that time, she has sat with questions of love, loss, career, identity, grief, and transition — and learned to listen to what the grounds are actually saying rather than what people hope to hear.
Numra is her practice, brought into a format that allows her to reach people beyond Istanbul — without losing the soul of the ritual.
The Tradition Behind the Cup
Turkish coffee reading — tasseography — has been practised across Turkey, the Balkans, and the Middle East for centuries. It is not a performance. It is not entertainment in the way a magic show is entertainment.
It is a reflective practice. A way of slowing down, turning inward, and allowing the subconscious to surface through symbol and form.
The coffee grounds do not decide your future. They reflect what is already in motion — the energy, the patterns, the tensions and openings that already exist in your life. A skilled reader helps you see them clearly.
Why Numra Exists
Most people who are drawn to this kind of reading don’t have access to a trusted, experienced reader. They may not live in Turkey. They may not have grown up in a culture where this practice is common. They may have heard of it, felt curious, but had nowhere to turn.
Numra exists to close that gap — carefully and respectfully.
We are not trying to industrialise an ancient practice. We are trying to preserve it — by making it available to the people who genuinely need it, through a format that honours its roots.
Our Approach
We keep things calm, grounded, and honest.
You will not receive fear-based readings at Numra. You will not be told that something terrible is coming, or that you must return for an urgent follow-up. That is not what this practice is for and it is not how we work.
What you will receive is an honest, thoughtful interpretation of what the reader sees — delivered with care, clarity, and respect for your autonomy. You are always the one who decides what to do with what you receive.
We also want to be clear: Numra readings are for personal reflection and spiritual exploration. They are not a substitute for medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice. We believe in the value of this practice deeply — and part of that belief is being honest about what it is and what it is not.
